Question: Do our Kibo chips taste incredible? Answer: They sure do. For answers to any other questions about our chips or our company, keep on reading.
What makes KIBO Chips nutritious?
With between 6-7 grams of natural protein, 1-2 grams of fiber, and less than 150 calories in every bag, our chips are a great snack option to enjoy with a meal or on their own. Plus, they’re certified Gluten-Free, Non-Gmo, and Kosher, and can be enjoyed on Dairy-Free and Vegan diets!
What is the difference between our Chickpea Chips and Lentil Chips?
Glad you asked!! Both chips are incredible in their own right and packed with nutritional benefits.
Chickpea Chips
This mighty and nutritious legume is the foundation of these chips — our chickpea chips come with a classic triangle shape and are made with a chickpea and rice flour base that is packed with protein, low in calories, low in fat, and derived from sustainable, plant-based ingredients. Prepare your taste buds for impossibly delicious (and always nutritious) chickpea chips – and they’re never ever fried!
Lentil Chips
With a fun oval shape and a light, crispy, lentil base, our lentil chips are derived from the nutrient-dense legume that is high in protein, low in fat, high iron, and low in calories. They are also a sustainable source of plant-based nutrition. Like our chickpea chips, they’re higher in protein and lighter in calories, carbs, and fat than the average chip—and they’re never ever fried!
Are Kibo Chips processed in a facility that produces peanuts or tree nuts?
There are absolutely NO peanuts or tree nuts in the facility where we make our chips.
Do KIBO Chips contain soy?
Our products do not contain direct soy ingredients. However, it's worth noting that the vegetable oil used in our products may be derived from a combination of Sunflower, Safflower, Soy, and/or Canola oils. If you have a soy allergy or sensitivity, please exercise caution and consult with a healthcare professional before consuming our products. Our chips are Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Kosher, and Dairy-Free healthy snacks with a GOOD SOURCE OF PROTEIN!
Are Kibo Keto-friendly?
Thanks for asking! Our chips are not Keto-friendly. The ketogenic diet is low carb - specifically limiting beans and grains - and our primary ingredient is chickpea flour for our chickpea chips and lentil flour for our lentil chips. We do however have a clean label and many other nutritional benefits, so we hope you'll give us a try!
Where can I find KIBO?
Kibo Chips are available to purchase online right here on our website and on Amazon. We are also in a growing number of grocery stores (click here to see if we’re in a store near you!). If we aren't, we just might be making an appearance in the coming months. Stay tuned by signing up for our newsletter at the bottom of the page!
What are KIBO chips made of? Do you use real ingredients?
No dyes or hard-to-pronounce ingredients around here. Our chips are made with the good stuff (read: the real stuff), like chickpeas, lentils, legumes, and rice and veggies. For a full list of ingredients, click the plus icon next to each flavor on Our Chips page.
What oil is used for making Kibo chips?
There is a little bit of sunflower oil to hold the mixture together before we put the chips through the oven, but no other oils are used in the cooking process.
Are KIBO Chips fried?
We're proud to say that our chips are air-popped, not fried! They have a great crunch and could be compared closer to a pita chip than a puffed "crisp". KIBO CHIPS are ALWAYS BAKED, NEVER FRIED!
How are KIBO Chips good for the planet?
Using plant-based ingredients (like the mighty chickpea) has a lower eco footprint than using meat-based foods. Fun fact: by making one meal a day plant-based, you stand to save up to 200,000 gallons of water a year. Pretty cool, huh?
How long do your products last?
If you store your chips in a cool, dry area (i.e., your pantry), each bag of Kibo will stay at its best quality for around 12 months.
Are your chips dippable?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage dipping in all kinds of deliciousness: salsa, guac, you name it! If you need some inspiration, take a look in our recipe section. We have quite a few tasty dips that compliment our Chips!
Are KIBO Chips Gluten-Free?
Yes! All of our products are certified Gluten-Free!
Are KIBO Chips Non-GMO?
Absolutely! All KIBO products are certified Non-GMO Project Verified and so are all of the ingredients in every single KIBO product.
Are KIBO Chips Kosher?
Yep!! All KIBO products are certified Kosher!
Are KIBO Chips Vegan?
KIBO products are only made with plant-based ingredients which would make us a plant-based product. However, while we could be considered a vegan product, at this time, KIBO does not have a Vegan certification!
